Celebrating music, art, community, and connection in the heart of Ticonderoga

Fireside folk festival & storybook sculpture unveiling

New public art series launches with bronze sculptures, folk music and community celebration in downtown Ticonderoga on Oct 24, 5-7 p.m.

The North Country Rural Development Coalition presents the first annual Fireside Folk Festival in downtown Ticonderoga on Friday, featuring the unveiling of six bronze storybook sculptures at Black Watch Memorial Library. Created by British sculptors Robert Ellis and James Coplestone, the collection includes Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland and other beloved characters cast using traditional lost-wax techniques.

The evening celebration includes live folk music, artisan vendors, food trucks and family activities along Montcalm Street. This event follows NRDC’s successful Walls Between Waters mural initiative and marks the launch of a new annual public art series aimed at strengthening Ticonderoga’s creative economy.
